<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled element having an uniformity and not having a defect and a good orientation property by coating a transparent electrode and a liquid crystal orientation film having a specific composition on counter surfaces of the substrates counter-disposed respectively. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal orientation films 4, 4' are stuck on the substrates 1, 1' composed of a glass etc. after forming 'NESA(R)' patterns 2, 2'. And then, the obtd. substrates 1, 1' are incorporated in a display panel using sealing materials 3, 3', and the liquid crystal 5 is enclosed into the display panel followed by sealing an inlet 5 for the liquid crystal. The liquid crystal orientation film 4, 4' are prepared by dissolving cadmium chloride and potassium hydrogen carbonate in a distilled water filled in the water tank, and by dropping a small amount of the benzene solution contg. a mixture of hexadecanedionic acid and arachidic acid on the surface of the water filled in the water tank, resulted in forming a film composed of the mixture of hexadecanedionic acid and arachidic acid on a horizontal surface of the water with a developer of benzene.</p> |
