<p>Appts. for applying foamed treatment liq. to both sides of a moving open-weave fabric web, comprises an applicator with a top outlet engaged by the underside of one run of the web, a return run of the same web being spaced above the first run so that the top side of the first run becomes the underside of the return run. Between the runs and engaging both are two transverse foam shear strips inclined at 3- 90 deg. to the plane of the applicator top face, and located one on each side of the applicator outlet. End walls, which pref. support the shear strips, define with the strips a chamber with open top and bottom for contg. foam.</p> |
