PURPOSE:To quantitatively measure a turbulent flow of air by bonding a strain gauge to a symmetrical flexible section of a gimbal supporting a core slider and detecting a different phase component of an output of the respective strain gauges. CONSTITUTION:Strain gauges 31, 32 are bonded to symmetrical flexible sections 21, 22 of a gimbal 2 supporting a core slider 1, different phase components of outputs of the respective strain gauges 31, 32 are detected by for instance a bridge circuit 4. The output of the different phase component is displayed by an effective value voltmeter 6 and according to the contents of the display, a turbulent condition of air flow between disks is detected.
