Device for securing loads of bales of fodder of large dimensions, especially round bales according to claim 1 of the main patent, to a vehicle. The needles 33 are mounted on the horizontal elongate element 3 in such a manner as to slide longitudinally by means of a support member 27 on which the needle 33 is mounted in a pivoting fashion in order to occupy an active position perpendicular to the said horizontal elongate element 3 and a retracted position in which the needle 33 is parallel to the said horizontal element 3.
