OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To record data with a light emission output suited to a using recording medium by reproducing the data recorded to the recording medium and using this reproduction output to control the output of a light source in a recording mode. CONSTITUTION:The single wavelength light irradiated from a semiconductor laser of a pickup 6 is focused by an objective lens 11 and held on an inner circumference recording/reproducing track by a tracking servo means (not shown here). Then the data equivalent to a step is given to a D/A converter 23 from a CPU 22 via an I/O controller 21 and converted into the voltage by the converter 23 in the form of the analog data. This analog data is supplied to a laser driver 9. The data given to the converter 23 is increased every step for consecutive decision of duty. Thus it is possible to obtain the data D1 corresponding to the energy intensity of the optimum light beam at the position of the inner circumference recording/reproducing track.
