PURPOSE:To easily make the orientated thin film by sticking the thin film on a substrate or a film, after impressing or during impressing the electric field to the thin film composed of one or more than one kinds of organic substances developed on the surface of a liquid. CONSTITUTION:The thin film 7 is formed on the surface of the liquid 1 in the tank 2 by developing one ore more than one kinds of the organic substance or a solution contg. it on the surface of the liquid 1. A molecular of the thin film 7 is orientated to a certain direction by impressing a voltage to the electrode 3 and the tank 2 by the electric source 4. The substrate 5 is stuck on the surface of the liquid by means of a sticking means 6, thereby sticking the thin film 7 to the substrate 5. By constituting the titled thin film as mentioned above, the orientated thin film can be easily made, and the orientation direction of the film can be freely controlled by a direction of an impressed electric field and its strength.
