PURPOSE:To prevent the decomposition due to minor moisture and readily stabilize an amitraz emulsion, by reacting an emulsifiable oily liquid useful as an acaricide with an alkaline earth metal oxide. CONSTITUTION:An emulsifiable oily liquid of amitraz useful as an acaricide is reacted with an alkaline earth metal oxide to stabilize the amitraz emulsion. As the method for reacting both, powder of the alkaline earth metal oxide may be directly suspended in the amitraz emulsion or ribbonlike alkaline earth metal oxide may be crushed and added to the amitraz emulsion. The powder of the alkaline earth metal oxide may be used as pellets or films obtained by melt mixing the powder with a resin, e.g. low-density polyethylene. The method for reaction may be carried out by adding the alkaline earth metal oxide or pellets containing the same, etc., directly to the amitraz emulsion or by coating the inside of an agricultural chemical bottle with the above- mentioned alkaline earth metal oxide or pellets, etc.
