PURPOSE:To obtain silver alloy wherein the sulfurization resistance and the workability are increased by blending Ag, Pd, Mg, Pt, Zn, In and Sn respectively in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The following silver alloy is prepared wherein by weight 80-87% Ag, 3-19% Pd and 1-5% Mg are made to an essential component and at least one kind or-2 kinds selected from among 1-2% Pt, 1-5% Zn, 1-10% In and 1-5% Sn are contained and the total sum of Zn, In and Sn is 1-10% and the inevitable impurities are incorporated. Thereby a solid solution is formed by adding Pd and Pt to Ag and furthermore an eutectic crystal material is formed by adding Zn, In, Sn and Mg thereto and the sulfurization resistance and the workability are increased by the synergistic action of the surface oxidized films of the solid solution and the eutectic crystal material.
