MANUFACTURE OF COMPOSITE PIPE

PURPOSE:To inhibit an explosive reaction, to stabilize the thickness of a layer and to smoothen the surface of the layer when a thermit reaction is caused in a rotating mother pipe to form produced layers in the pipe, by hermetically sealing the space on the inside of a thermit agent with a heat resistant cylindrical member for hermetical sealing. CONSTITUTION:A thermit agent 4 is put in a mother pipe 2 to form a layer of the thermit agent 4, and the space on the inside of the layer is hermetically sealed with a heat resistant cylindrical member 5 for hermetical sealing. The thermit agent 4 is indirectly ignited through the member 5 in the field of centrifugal force to cause a thermit reaction. A metallic layer and a ceramic layer produced by the thermit reaction are unitedly formed on the inside of the mother pipe 2.
