PURPOSE:To feed a viscous material excellently and to perform degassing efficiently by providing a feed roll at a suitable position of an upper outside section of the pumping. CONSTITUTION:A material 10 fed to a material inlet side space 21 proceeds along pumping gears 1, 1' and is fed to material compression spaces 24, 24' between gears and both inner surfaces of a casing 2 by feed rolls 3, 3', then, as the material 10 further nears seal sections 23, 23', the spaces 24, 24' become narrower, thus the material 10 is compressed. Said rolls are separated from individual gears by a distance nearly equal to the width of the upstream side section of the spaces 24, 24' and a clearance is left between said rolls sufficiently not to pinch the material, thereby the upstream side of the spaces 24, 24' becomes a lower pressure, which assists bubbles to flow upstream through the spaces as a result of the compression effect in the spaces and to escape into a space 21, thus the material is fed to the spaces 24, 24' without being pinched between said rolls. The material passing through the seal sections 23, 23' is fed to a material outlet side space 32. |
