METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DRY GINSENG

A dried ginseng for medicinal purposes was manufd. by heat treatment at 60-100 ≦̸C. Thus, 128.4 g of washed ginseng in a polyethylene bag were heat-sealed and irradiated with microwaves at 2450 MHz and 240 W for 60 min. This material was transferred to a closed vessel and the vessel was maintained at 30kg/cm2. After the material was frozen at - 15≦̸C for 12 hrs and dried, the material was lyophilized again at -50≦̸C for 16 hrs. and dried at 50≦̸C for 50 hrs. to give 32.1 g dried ginseng.
