PROCESS FOR N-(CYCLOHEXYLTHIO)-PHTHALIMIDE

N-(cyclohexylthio)-phthalimide is prepd. for use as a retardant of vulcanization of rubber. 200 wt. part of water, 29.4 wt. part of phthalimide, and 0.1 wt. part of Erkantol BXG are mixed in a reactor. This mixt. is cooled to 5≦̸C, and 18 wt. part of 45% NaOH soln. and 30.1 wt. part of cyclohexylsulfuric chloride in 100 wt. part of pentane are added. THis mixt. is stirred for 15 mins, and the precipitated solid is seperated. This is washed and dryed to give N- (cyclohexylthio)-phthalimide.
