PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of the separated liquid dripped from a filter plate to the cake of the next stage, in the trough structure of a filter press, by pivotally supporting a trough main body in a state freely openable and closable and freely revolvable in the longitudinal direction and connecting an actuator thereto. CONSTITUTION:After the action of solid-liquid separation was finished, a filter plate 5 is opened but, prior to the opening of the filter plate 5, each trough main body 13 is fallen and revolved through arms 18, 18 and the leading end thereof is directed to a belt conveyor 9. One of the trough main bodies 13, 13 set to the lower side of a seal 17 is fallen slightly fast to be opened and, thereafter, the filter plate 5 is spaced apart and a cake is fallen and discharged to the belt conveyor 9 in a pit 8 while guided by the trough main bodies 13 having gradients toward both sides to be discharged to a discharge system. The liquid of seal leakage from the filter plate is not dripped but discharged to drain troughs 10, 10.
