A vibrating grinder having a casing which contains a drive device has a grinding pad which is to be made to oscillate relative to the casing by a drive device. The grinding pad is connected to the casing via a plurality of elongate elastic elements. In order to increase the lives of the elastic elements which are subjected to considerable flexing, each of the elastic elements has a cavity which extends in the longitudinal direction.
