PURPOSE:To reduce the electric consumption with making state indication and without causing any inconvenience by supplying the electric current to be consumed at the inside of a multi-function telephone set only when a user accesses to the telephone. CONSTITUTION:In normal time a switch 7 is diconnected and no current is supplied to inside circuit 6. Therefore, the multi-function telephone set 3 is in inactive state. Now, when a user intends to use the telephone set and stretches his hand to the telephone set, a detection signal S is outputted from detection circuit 4 and sent to the switch 7 through detection signal line 5 and the switch 7 is connected. As a consequence, the power is supplied to the inside circuit 6 and the inside circuit is actuated and a state indication is displayed. The user can use the multi-function telephone set 3 according to this indication. When the user has finished a dialing and detached his hand from the telephone set, the detection circuit 4 ceases to issue the detection signal 4 and the switch 7 is disconnected. As the result, the inside circuit ceases to function and the electric consumption of the multi-function telephone set 3 is minimized. |
