ELECTRONIC THERMOMETER

A cordless electronic thermometer includes temperature sensing means (35-38) incorporating a thermistor (38) for sensing a temperature and providing over time a series of temperature related electric parameters. Data representing these parameters is stored in stored in storing means (52) which is connected to data transmitting means (50). The thermometer is provided with connector means (26) connected to the output of the data transmitting means and adapted to be connected to an associated master unit which serves as a power source and temperature display. The connector means (26) includes a command input (70) adapted to receive a command signal from the master unit, and a data output (72) via which data is transmitted to the master unit from the data transmitting means (50). Energy storage means (C1, C2) are included in the thermometer for storing electrical energy when the connector means (26) is connected to the master unit.
