PURPOSE:To shorten the time to the operation of a temperature sensor by arranging the temperature sensor onto the outer periphery of an auxiliary coil having the resistivity larger than that of an exciting coil, in a starter for an internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The bobbin of a starter is equipped with an attraction coil 3a for shifting the movable contact 9 of a plunger 7 to a fixed contact-point 11 side, holding coil 3b, auxiliary coil 3c having a relatively large resistivity than that of the holding coil 3b, and an always closed contact 4 serving as temperature sensor. After the start, also a relay 25 is turned-OFF by the turning- OFF of a key switch 24, and the electric current supplied into the attracting coil 3a and the holding 3b is cut off, and when the key switch 24 is not turned- OFF mechanically or electrically because if a certain reason, electricity does not flow in the attraction coil 3a, and the holding coil 3b and the auxiliary coil 3c are put into continuous electric conduction. Therefore, the always closed contact 4 performs speedy sensing and opens the circuit by the heating of the auxiliary coil 3c, and electricity is cut off. Therefore, the overrunning time is shortened. |
