PURPOSE:To obtain a voltage controlled oscillator with high performance at a low current by giving a half of a power supply voltage to an oscillation circuit and the remaining half to a buffer circuit, making the current system identical for the oscillation circuit and the buffer circuit so as to decrease the entire current of the voltage controlled oscillator. CONSTITUTION:The oscillation circuit 1 and the buffer circuit 2 are closed in series from a power voltage Vcc, and all current IALL flowing to the voltage controlled oscillator 4 is the same as a current IOSC flowing to the oscillation circuit 1 and a current IBUFF flowing to the bubber circuit 2. Through the constitution above, the current through the voltage controlled oscillator is enough for the required minimum current either for the oscillation circuit 1 or the buffer circuit 2. Further, a DC voltage is shared into the oscillation circuit voltage VOSC and the buffer circuit voltage VBUFF from the power voltage Vcc, but since the major performance of the voltage controlled oscillator 1 is dependent on the current, there is no problem.
