PURPOSE:To contrive to regenerate a hollow yarn, by making it possible to receive a filter cartridge equipped with a hollow yarn membrane as a filter material in a filter main body so as to reverse a water inflow port and a water outflow port. CONSTITUTION:Tap water flowed in a filter main body 1 from a water feed pipe 2 is flowed in a cartridge 5 from the opening part 5a thereof and passed through a hollow yarn membrane 6 to flow out from an opening part 5b. The water flowed out from the cartridge 5 is flowed in the filtrate outflow pipe 3 provided to a lid 4 and emitted to the outside from a filtrate outflow port 3a. In the regeneration of the hollow yarn membrane 6, in order to backwash the hollow yarn membrane 6, the cartridge 5 is received in the main body in up-and-down reverse direction and tap water is flowed in the cartridge 5 from the water feed pipe 2. By this method, the removal of bacteria and dust is performed.
