PURPOSE:To shorten a drying time and to eliminate an irregularity in drying by passing photosensitive paper through a gap formed by placing a rotary drum and a duct opposite each other separately, and blowing air out of the blowout hole of the duct to the rotary drum and bringing the reverse surface of the photosensitive paper into contact with the rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:The undried photographic paper 14A after washing is sent as shown by an arrow A and its front end is sent from driving rollers 28A and 28B to the rotary drum 36 through drawing-in rollers 14A and 24B, so that the reverse surface of the photosensitive paper 14 contacts the outer periphery of the drum 36. A hot blast is blown to the top surface and the front end of the photosensitive paper 14 is sent toward a drawing-out guide part 22 while pressed against the drum 36. Then, a hot blase blown out of slits 52 provided to the recessed part 50 of the drying blast duct 38 is blown to the photosensitive paper 14 over a wide range at a high speed because of plural slits 52 having small opening area are provided, so that the photosensitive paper 14 is pressed against the drum 36 in contact. Consequently, the photosensitive paper is dried uniformly in a short time without being damaged.
