PURPOSE:To easily hold the neutral point of a swash-plate type piston pump by permitting a thrust plate installed onto a swash plate to turn in the direction nearly perpendicular to the direction of tilt of the swash plate. CONSTITUTION:On a swash plate 11, a projection part 16 having a circular peripheral surface is formed in the longitudinal direction crossing at right angles to a trunnion pin 13, and a recessed part the projection part 16. therefore, the thrust plate 17 can be turned in the direction nearly perpendicular to the direction of tilt of the swash plate 17, and therefore, when the tilt angle of the swash plate 17 is set nearly close to zero, the thrust plate 17 turns a little because of the pressure balance, and the return to neutral point is automatically carried out.
