PURPOSE:To prevent a decelerating shock from occurring, by constituting shift- down operations so as to be delayed for the specified time to a signal decelerating a car speed in a constant-speed driving state, in case of a device, bearing the above caption, available for an automatic transmission type vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a car speed in a constant-speed driving state is decelerated with a decelerating device B1 operated, the signal is inputted into a controlling device B2 which operates an actuator B3 for control over a fuel supply to an engine being connected to an engine throttle valve or the like, reading the speed. At this time, the controlling device B2 makes a shift-down device B4 operate since the specified time has elapsed, after actuation of the decelerating device B1, making a speed gear step of an automatic transmission shift down. With this constitution, a decelerating shock is prevented from occurring and, what is more, a feeling of decelerating operation is improved.
