<p>A filler composition comprising 100 parts by weight of heat-resistant inorganic fibers dispersed in 10 to 300 parts by weight of a dispersion medium satisfying the following formula: Y=<10 log X + 2 (Y=<20) wherein X represents a kinematic viscosity (unit: c St) at 20oC, and Y represents a solubility parameter. This composition is suited for filling a gap between a metallic casing of an exhaust gas cleaner for an engine and a catalyst-carrying ceramic honeycomb, and is produced by mixing 100 parts by weight of heat-resistant fibers with 10 to 3000 parts by weight of a dispersion medium satisfying the above formula.</p> |
