The robot hand 6 is provided with a bolt which engages in a clamping opening of a device which essentially consists of two locking slides which are under spring pressure. The robot hand moves in the direction of arrow 25 during its engagement action. After the centring action, the robot hand moves in the direction of the arrow 27 and lifts out the device, which was first of all held in the opening member 4, together with the tool 7 towards the top. As a result, the legs 8 of the opening member release the locking slides, which tightly clamp the tool 7 to the robot hand. A special drive for fastening the tool to the robot hand is thereby avoided. <IMAGE>
