PURPOSE:To stabilize electric characteristics and the like, to eliminate residual potential, and to enhance durability and humidity resistance by incorporating Ge in the first photoreceptive layer and N in one of 2 photoreceptive layers in a uniform distribution in a photoreceptor composed of the photoreceptive layers and a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photoreceptive layers formed on the substrate 101 is composed of the photoconductive layer 102 made of amorphous material contg. Ge, and sometimes contg. a conductivity governing substance, and the layer 103 made of amorphous material contg. Si as a matrix, and C and the conductivity governing substance, and one of the layers 102, 103 contains N in a uniform distribution in the partial or whole layer region of one of them, thus permitting the obtained photoreceptor to be stabilized in electric characteristics and the like, independent of use circumstances, improved in light fatigue resistance, enhanced in durability and humidity resistance, and freed of residual potential. |
