The invention relates to a telescopic mast, in particular for use as an antenna mast, comprising at least three individual portions which can be locked and unlocked with respect to one another in the extended state. The telescopic mast is characterised in that it comprises: a) an extending cable which is looped around the extendable portions and runs in an endless manner between two cable drums, b) a retracting cable which is fastened on the uppermost extendable portion and is actuated by one of the cable drums, c) in each case at least one locking bar which can be tilted and is arranged on the lower part of each extendable portion, with the exception of the uppermost extendable portion, d) in each case at least one control wedge which is arranged in the lower part of the portions located inside the portions bearing the locking bars and is intended for actuating the locking bars, e) in each case at least one control wedge which is arranged in the upper part of the portions located outside the portions bearing the locking bars and is intended for actuating the locking bars, f) in each case one end stop, allocated to the locking bars, on the extendable portion located nearest the inside, and g) in each case one end bearing means, allocated to the locking bars, on the portion located nearest the outside.
