In order to control the level of boiling or evaporable liquids, a heated element is used which is cooled by evaporation of the liquid to be switched or by the foam thereof. The temperature change is measured and utilised for switching. Since all boiling liquids have a significant heat of evaporation, this system works independently of the type, consistency, temperature and mixing ratios of the liquids, without responding to aerosols or formation of droplets.
