PURPOSE:To keep off any smudges on a sheet setting surface due to a scatter of toners in a small-sized copying machine, by making the sheet setting surface in an intermediate tray of an image former shiftable and drivable, while making the position so as to be selectable at the time of use or nonuse of this intermediate tray. CONSTITUTION:In a copying machine 1, an intermediate tray 26 is set up at the downstream side of paired intermediate rollers 27, while a belt 26c of this tray is tensely installed between a driving roller 26a and a driven roller 26b, and further this belt 26c is provided with a sheet setting surface X side and a nonsetting surface X side. Therefore, when a duplex copying mode or a multiple copying mode is selected, a flapper 21 is selected to the side of a sheet reconveying route 23 and, what is more, the intermediate tray 26 comes into a state of being used,so that a signal is transmitted out of a control part, and the driving roller 26a is rotated a half, thus the belt 26c is stopped as making the sheet setting surface X side upside. At this time, the sheet setting surface X is set up in the lower side of the belt 26c when a toner image is formed on the surface of a sensitive body 6, thus smudges due to a scatter of toners are entirely nothing. |
