Ink-ribbon cartridges for typewriters or printers of similar design having an endless fabric ink ribbon are to be of extremely simple construction and of the most inexpensive materials in order to achieve low costs. The invention is based on the object of constructing such ink-ribbon cartridges with endless fabric ink ribbons in such a way that, on the one hand, the ink ribbon undergoes only a relatively insignificant wear due to the drive and, on the other hand, smooth transporting of the ink ribbon (6) and smooth displacement of the loops in the supply space (5) are guaranteed with a simple and cost-effective construction.
