PURPOSE:To obtain the W wire having uniform workability by estimating surely the workability of W wire by the value of the actual breaking distorsion obtd. with the ordinary temp. simple tensile test of the W wire having >=0.2mm diameter. CONSTITUTION:The workability of a W wire is estimated by finding the value of the actual breaking distorsion by Exp(AO/AP) from the wire diameter AO prior to the start of a drawing and the wire diameter AP on the breaking point by performing a simple tensile test at ordinary temp. of the W wire of >=0.2mm diameter. The W wire having >=0.4 value of this actual breaking distorsion has >= ten times in its bending and the breaking state of this case becomes a ductile breaking which proves a good workability. The uniform W wire having no variance in the mechanical property can thus be obtd. because of the workability of the W wire being enabled to be correctly estimated.
