PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by providing a peak detection circuit and a switching means by using a signal outputted from a comparison means to adjust an input signal of a differential line receiver thereby restoring automatically the differential line receiver to the normal state in a very short time even if the line receiver generates malfunction. CONSTITUTION:A peak detection resistor 23 and a capacitor 24 are connected in parallel with a differential line receiver inverted-phase output terminal 22. The peak detection resistor 23 and the capacitor 24 constitute a peak detection circuit detecting the peak of the inverted output of the differential line receiver 6. An inverting input 26 of a comparator 25 is connected to the peak value detection circuit and a reference voltage setting circuit is connected to a non- inverting input terminal 27. A signal with a prescribed logic level is outputted to an anode terminal of a diode 29 according to the result of comparison between the peak value inputted from the inverting input 26 and a reference voltage inputted from the non-inverting input 27 from an output terminal 28 of the comparator 25.
