PURPOSE:To aim at automatizing the sorting of cutforms and at increasing the efficiency of the sorting, by providing a sorting signal generating device for electrically controlling chute device at chute ports, which are arranged at given positions along a guide plate, while the cutforms are slid on the outer surface of the guide plate, being made into close contact with the outer surface of a belt. CONSTITUTION:Cutforms M to be sorted are fed into the gap between a stationary guide plate 1 and a belt 22 in a rotating endless belt conveyor device 2, one by one at the front end of the conveyor belt 22, manually or by a conveyor 3. The cutforms M moves along with the belt 22 under the frictional force thereof with respect to the outer surface of the conveyor 22, sliding on the guide plate 1 in the direction of the arrow P. When a predetermined chute device 4 is actuated in accordance with an electrical signal which is delivered from a sorting signal generating device 6 in accordance with the descriptive contents of the cutforms, a lid member 41 which is normally held in its close position is swung into a position indicated by the solid line to open a chute port 11 formed in the guide plate. In association with this operation, the cutforms M are dropped through the chute port 11 into a storage box 5 so that they may be sorted. After being sorted, the member is returned into its normally close position.
