Method for serial transmission of sampling words

A method is proposed which is intended for the serial transmission of sampling words which are derived by means of an A/D converter from an analog signal. In order to achieve precise synchronisation between the transmitter and the receiver at minimal technical cost, each sampling word (AW) is supplemented according to the invention by a sync bit (S) at the transmitting end to form a transmission word (ÜW). The method is particularly suitable for the transmission of sampling words derived from FBAS-signals. AC-only transmission of sampling words is achieved if the transmission words (ÜW) are transmitted in non-inverted and inverted form alternately. A clock signal for synchronisation can then be derived from the inversions at the receiving end. <IMAGE>
