PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a transaction by executing a collation of a password by deciding whether data for showing writing order of the password which has been written on an input plate coincides with the data for showing the writing order which has been prescribed in advance or not. CONSTITUTION:When a customer inserts a prescribed IC card into an IC card reader/writer 8, the reader/writer 8 reads the password, the data and the data for showing the writing order of the password, etc., and gives the data which has been read, to a CPU 4. When the data is given from the reader/writer 8, the CPU 4 stores it in a memory 7. The customer executes an input of the password by writing the password, for instance, by one character each, on a matrix input key of a keyboard 5. The CPU 4 compares the data for showing the writing order of the recognized password, and the data for showing the writing order of the password which has been read from the IC card, and decides whether its writing orders coincide with each other or not. In this way, the safety of a transaction can be improved by executing the collation of the password. |
