PURPOSE:To manage a commodity image data which functions effectively on an assigned picture display, by adding the assigned information inputted by an input means, to a commodity image of each page to be read by an image read means, and storing it in a commodity image storage means. CONSTITUTION:A printed catalog is read optically by an image read means 1, converted to a binary data, and displayed by one page portion on a display means 2. Subsequently, a display control means 5a picks up photographic data, character data and drawing data, respectively, among the displayed commodity image data, receive assigned information inputted from an input means 3, receives a store command from the input means 3, adds a read out key to the commodity image data which has been displayed on the means 2 and the assigned information, and stores it in a commodity image store means 4. When a call command of a commodity image from the input means 3 is received, the means 5a reads out an image from the means 4, executes its variable power and moves it in accordance with the assigned information, and displays it on the display means 2.
