PURPOSE:To permit two stage speed change in both forward and backward rotation by enabling a planet gear support member of a planet gear device to be connected to a control member provided unpivotably on a sun gear while enabling an internal gear to controlled. CONSTITUTION:A drive shaft 2 provided with a sun gear 1 is pivotably fitted in an annular support member 4 for supporting a planet gear 3 meshing with the sun gear 1, while a control member 5 provided with a connecting couple removably attached to the annular support member 4 is pivotably slidably fitted onto the drive shaft. Also, an annular rotor 7 provided with an internal gear 6 meshing with the planet gear 3 is provided with a braking couple removably attached to a transmission frame 8 so that the connection and disconnection of the annular support member 4 and control member 5 and of the transmission frame 8 and annular rotor 7 are controlled by energizing and deenergizing an electromagnetic coil 9.
