<p>Novel aryltriazolinone compounds of formula (I) wherein R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxyalkyl, or alkyl-S(O)n-alkyl wherein n is 0 to 2 are disclosed as having herbicidal utility against a variety of grassy and broadleaf weeds in both preemergence and postemergence applications and are exemplified by the species wherein R is 2-propynyl, 1-methylethyl, 1-methyl-2-propynyl, methoxymethyl, 2-propenyl, and 1-methyl-2-methoxyethyl.</p> |
