PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a seat belt device by fixing an end of a connecting member of a seat belt to a fixed plate firmly secured to a movable rail of a seat sliding device and inserting a fixed belt into belt receivers formed in the above plate and the end. CONSTITUTION:A fixed plate 19 is firmly secured to a movable rail 17 of a seat sliding device 13 by means of anchoring members 20. An attachment member 26 attached to an end of a connecting member 22 of a seat belt is firmly secured to the plate 19 by means of an anchoring member 31. The attachment member 26 is provided on opposite sides of a groove 27 thereof two first U-shaped belt receivers 28. The fixed plate 19 is provided with three second U-shaped belt receivers 29, the middle one of the belt receivers 29 being disposed in the groove 27. When impact force is applied to a webbing 24 in emergency, the load is transmitted to the attachment member 26 to deform the anchoring member 31 and, as the result, the attachment member 26 moves unwardly. Then, a fixed belt 32 extends through the receivers 28, 29 in a corrugated form, restricting movement of the attachment member 26 in the upward and front-to-back directions. |
