PURPOSE:To pulverize a drug or drug composition having poor heat-stability easily without lowering the activity of the drug, by pulverizing the drug, etc., under cooling. CONSTITUTION:A drug or drug composition having poor heat-stability (e.g. PG, prostacyclin, growth hormone releasing factor, interferon, etc.) is pulverized under cooling. The drug composition is preferably a composite of the drug with a bio-degradable carrier such as collagen, gelatin, polyglycolic acid, etc. The pulverization process comprises the cooling step to cool the specimen to be pulverized and the pulverization chamber before pulverization and the pulverization step to carry out the pulverization of the drug, etc., under cooling. The cooling can be performed e.g. by mixing with a refrigerant such as dry ice, exposing to evaporated cold gas produced from dry ice, liquid nitrogen, etc., or immersing in a refrigerant such as liquid nitrogen. A finely pulverized product can be produced without causing the denaturation of the active component.
