PURPOSE:To reduce the printing deviation and to provide an extra fine, high quality printing by synchronizing the feeding of the paper being transferred with printing timing according to a pulse signal from the encoder of platen drive motor. CONSTITUTION:When speed control signal 10 is supplied from a control main circuit 7 to a platen roller drive motor control circuit 8, a control circuit 8 outputs a specified voltage signal 11 to a platen roller drive motor 5 so that the platen roller drive motor 5 rotates at a specified speed. At this time, the actual speed of rotation is detected by an encoder installed at the platen drive motor 5 and the detected voltage signal 15 is fed back to the control circuit 8 to control so as to reduce the fluctuation of rotation of motor. At the same time, the above-mentioned voltage signal from the encoder is also supplied to a head control circuit 9 to synchronize the printing timing of the head with the feeding of the paper being transferred.
