NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (m is an integer 0-3; n is 0 or 1; m+n is >=1, except when n is 0 and m is 1; M is H, Li, Na, K, NH4 or substituted ammonium; X is O or NH; Y is O or S). USE:A dye for dyeing cellulosic materials to bright greenish yellow. PREPARATION:An amine expressed by formula II is diazotized to give a diazonium salt, which is then coupled with a compound expressed by formula III, e.g. a compound expressed by formula IV. The diazo component expressed by formula II is obtained by, for example diazotizing 4-nitroaniline, coupling the resultant diazo compound with a 1-aminonaphthalenedisulfonic acid and reducing the nitro group derived from the 4-nitroaniline, etc.
