PURPOSE:To make possible to decrease the frictional resistance between a machine frame and a slider to feed a slider by a light force, by applying a static pressure to the slide surface of the workpiece fabricating section side and the slide surface opposite to the former slide surface. CONSTITUTION:A slider 4 formed with a workpiece fabricating section 8 is elevatably supported to a machine frame 1 through the intermediary of slide surfaces 19, 21, and is formed therein with a first pocket 20 for applying a static pressure to the slide surface 19 of the workpiece fabricating section 8 side. Further, a second oil pocket 22 for applying a static pressure higher than the former static pressure to the slide surface 21 in opposite to the workpiece fabricating section 8 side. A vertical feed mechanism 17 is coupled to the slider 4 in order to bear the weight of the latter and to apply a vertical feed force to the latter, and is operated to set the fabricating amount of a workpiece 10 by the workpiece fabricating section 8. |
