PURPOSE:To maintain a dimming effect which is excellent for a long period of time by providing a dimming layer formed by dispersing an org. photochromic material into a resin having <=25 deg.C secondary transfer temp. and a light transmittable protective layer covering the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The dimming layer 2 formed by dispersing and incorporating the org. photochromic material into the medium resin having <=25 deg.C secondary transfer temp. and the transparent protective layer 3 covering the exposed surface thereof are formed on a base body 1 consisting of a transparent resin. Since the secondary transfer temp. is low, the medium resin which is solid at an ordinary service temp. exhibits fluidity in terms of molecule and the photochromism effect is substantially developed without being hindered. The dimming effect is thereby obtd. at a high response speed and the layer 2 is protected from the outside. The dimming effect excellent for a long period of time is thus maintained.
