PURPOSE:To improve the operation efficiency of the whole system by holding data which has been read out of an external storage device, and comparing it with comparing data within a range which has been designated by a comparing area designating means. CONSTITUTION:Comparing data from a CPU1 is stored in one memory, and data of an optional area, which has been read out of a DKU3 is stored in the other memory. Also, the comparing data from the cPu1 can output repeatedly the comparing data stored in the memory by an initial address register, and outputs the data which has been read out of the DKU3 and the data which has been stored in the memory, to a comparing/controlling circuit 15. In this case, by designating a comparison start point and a comparing data area (namely, a comparing data length) to a byte unit, a comparing object range is designated to a byte unit, and data comparison control of an optional comparing object range is executed.
