PURPOSE:To make possible to obtain a finished end face which is excellent in durability, for a top board, by fitting a synthetic resin ring in a groove formed by cutting in the top board while a decorative material being left, and by cutting the top board in the part of the synthetic resin ring section. CONSTITUTION:A top board 11 is arranged upside down on a cutting base bed, and a fitting groove 12 for a synthetic resin ring 13 is cut in a square cross-sectioned shape with a decorative material being left. Then hardenable synthetic resin liquid 14 is filled in the groove 12 upto the height of the synthetic resin 13, and is then hardened to form a synthetic resin member 15 and a synthetic resin ring 13 integrally with each other. Further, the top board 11 is cut to form a cut end face 16a of the synthetic resin ring 13, thereby a fabricated top board 11' may be obtained. Further, in order to attach a sink 17 to the fabricated top board 11' the flange section 17a of the sink 17 is set on the outer surface of the synthetic resin ring 13, and the back surface of the flange section 17a is secured by a joint tool 18.
