PURPOSE:To make possible electronic edition forming a new recording pattern of high continuity automatically by providing a control signal forming circuit that forms and holds controlling signals and supplying signals of specified level related to controlling signals from the control signal forming circuit to an electromechanical converting element at the time of edition recording. CONSTITUTION:When reproducing, a displacement detection signal of a rotary magnetic head 1 from a strain gauge 3 is supplied to a displacement detector 14, and the displacement detection output is supplied to an integrator 15 through the fixed contact PB of reproducing side of a change-over switch SW3 and integrated. Frequency component of an oscillator 12 is removed and the output is supplied to a correction signal generator 16 having holding function. The displacement detector 14 is constituted, for instance, of a differential amplifier, and output from the correction signal generator 16 is supplied to the differential amplifier as a bias signal to obtain output that makes DC level of the displacement detector 14 zero when the rotary magnetic head 1 is scanning tracking a slanted track 18 at the time of reproduction. Thus, electronic edition can be made forming a new recording track pattern of high continuity automatically.
