PURPOSE:To prevent local damage and toner stains on the surface of a photosensitive body, to ensure high quality images free from image stains for a long period by using a toner powder mixed with CeO2 and other rare earth compd. abrasives. CONSTITUTION:CeO2 and other rare earth compds., preferably, of elements of La, Nd, Pr, etc., such as La2O3, N2O3, or Pr6O11, are mixed with a magnetic toner powder, e.g., obtained by mixing, kneading, and pulverizing a binder resin, magnetic particles, colorants. etc., in an amt. of 0.01-10wt%, thus permitting the surface of the photosensitive body to be always ground with a contact member, such as a blade, and the surface to be always be kept clean and smooth, and hence the surface to be maintained in a favorable state for a long period, and high quality images free from image stains to be stably formed. |
