PURPOSE:To make possible to protect a tool exchange device against chips and coolant splashes, by disposing the tool exchange device between a spindle and the front end section of a tool storage magazine so that the tool exchange device at its waiting position is completely separated from a fabricating area. CONSTITUTION:An introducing device has a rotary shaft 26 for introducing a twin-arm 11 to a tool storage magazine side and to the rear of a spindle 6. A body 26 fitted on a rotary shaft 12 and supporting the twin-arm 11 is arranged movably. A three position shifting section allows the twin-arm 11 to grip a tool in a tool storage magazine 9 or a tool on the spindle 6. A swivel drive section is provided in a body 24 and has a swivel shaft 12 which reverses the twin-arm 11. A pulling and inserting section is provided in the body 24 and extends and retracts the twin arm 11 so that a tool in a storage magazine or a tool on the spindle 6 is pulled and inserted. |
