PURPOSE:To eliminate damages in an ink ribbon, by providing ribbon regulating members which are displaced so as to prevent the exposed portion of the ink ribbon from being inwardly displaced within an opened recess in a cassette body while the cassette body is not set, and on the other hand, so as to permit the fitting of a printing head into the opened recess with the setting of the cassette body. CONSTITUTION:A cassette body 11 is set into a carriage 2 in a printer body 1 as follows; when a printing head 3 is to be relatively fitted into an opened recess in the cassette 11, an ink ribbon 15 cannot be so located as to be caught by a printing head 3, because an exposed portion 15a of the ink ribbon 15 is being regulated by ribbon regulating members 16. With the setting of the cassette body 11, the ribbon regulating members 16 are elasticaly deformed upward forced by the printing head 3, i.e. so displaced as to permit the fitting of the printing head 3, and the exposed portion 15a of the ink ribbon 15 results in passing on a printing surface 3a side of the printing head 3. |
