PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which has excellent stability against melt heat and prevents a resin from being decomposed and expanded, consisting of a polyester, a polycarbonate, a halogen flame retarder and an Sb flame retarder. CONSTITUTION:Phosphoric acid is added to an aq. dispersion of sodium antimonate and the mixture is heat-treated at 50-100 deg.C. The reaction product is dehydrated and dried to obtain an Sb flame retarder (C) having an Sb2O5 structure, composed of Sb2O5 and 0.4-0.8mol (per mol of Sb2O5) of an alkali (or alkyline earth) metal oxide such as phosphoantimonate glass. A polyester (A) (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) obtd. by polycondensing a polybasic acid and a polyhydric alcohol, a polycarbonate (B) obtd. from carbonic acid and a glycol or a dihydric phenol, 0.5-20wt% (based on the quantity of compsn.) component C and a halogen flame retarder (D) (e.g. hexabromodiphenyl ether) are blended together to obtain the title compsn. in the form of a powder having an average particle size of 2-30mu.
